Thanks to gifts from the Cleveland Public Library and the National Library in London, the American Library hosts the first Braille book collection on the European continent. In the years to come, this collection will be supplemented by talking books, numbering 2,000 long-playing records in 1958, some of them recorded on the premises.
Starting on Saturday 16 January, the Library will close each night at 18h in accordance with the new national curfew.
On Saturday and Sunday, the Library will open early to compensate for the reduced evening hours.
