Exam Proctoring

As a service to its membership and the general public, the American Library in Paris is available as an authorized site for supervised testing for students in distance-learning programs, on independent study, or away from their campuses at examination times.

Exams are monitored in one of the Library’s isolated, sound-proof rooms. Qualified Library personnel supervise examinations on behalf of host educational institutions and ensure that testing materials are ready for the exam period and returned to the school.

Please note the following

Proctoring requests

All proctoring requests must be submitted by email at least two (2) weeks prior to the examination date. Indicate your school and course name/number, whether your exam is written or online, the duration of the exam, and whether it requires specific equipment or software (headphones, browser version). Exam fees are 95€ for the first two hours or portion thereof, and 25€ each additional 30 minutes or portion thereof. When multiple or consecutive tests are taken the same day, each exam incurs a separate charge according to the fee structure noted above.

Schools and universities

Institutions must send test information to the Proctoring Coordinator via email to proctor@americanlibraryinparis.org or to our mailing address: American Library in Paris, attn: Proctoring Coordinator, 10 rue du Général Camou, 75007 Paris, France.

On the day of the test

Students are expected to bring proper photo identification (student ID, passport, driver’s license) and payment by bank card or cash on the day of their test.

Payment

A non-refundable payment of the exam fee is due at the conclusion of each exam by bank card or cash.
