Songs, rhymes and stories in English for the very young.
Our Toddler Time is for children ages 1-3 and their caregivers. The program lasts 30 minutes and features songs, hand-rhymes and short stories in English. Parents and caregivers are expected to sit on the floor with their children beside them or in their laps and participate in the program.
As the situation with Covid-19 evolves, here at the Library we continue to monitor the news carefully. We’re moving as many programs for children and teens as possible to a virtual format. We will maintain this program by connecting online via GoToMeeting.
While we usually don’t recommend screen use for young children, as per guidance from specialists (see articles here, here and here), video conferencing can be appropriate when mediated by an adult. We will happily read books and lead you in stories during this virtual session. Plan to join in, sing along, and move around, as you would do in our physical session. If you join in this virtual session, it will be as important as ever to model movement and song for your little one.
