The American Library in Paris offers a wide range of English-language materials and academic digital databases that will suit the needs of students and faculty from universities, study abroad programs, bilingual and international schools, French lycées with Anglophone sections with competitive IB programs, English language schools, and homeschool programs.

An orientation session is a great way to introduce students to the many resources and services at the Library. Here is what you need to know to sign up for a Library orientation:

  • You must request an orientation at least 2 weeks in advance.
  • If your institution is purchasing Library memberships, the organisation may receive one free orientation per semester. Additional orientations will be charged at the regular orientation rate, see below.
  • If you are not purchasing Library memberships, each orientation is a flat rate of 50€ plus 5€ per student.
  • Orientations last for about an hour and may include an introduction to our e-resources, print collections, and research skills, information about the Library’s facilities, study spaces, archives, and more.

For questions or to sign up for an orientation, please contact Education and Reference Librarian Jason Hazard at hazard@americanlibraryinparis.org.
