22 June 2016Libraries we love to work in (while ours is being renovated)
While the Library is being renovated, the staff had to get creative about finding other libraries and co-working spaces to meet and get things done. Some of the staff and interns went to the Mediatheque Francoise Sagan in the 10th arrondissement for a productive day of work last week. It is located at 8 rue Leon Schwartzenberg and just opened in May 2015 in what used to be a hospital building. With windows all around and shelves of books throughout, not to mention comfortable furniture in various shapes and sizes, it’s an ideal space to work and read. The Mediatheque holds about 77,000 books, with a small shelf of English-language books. Surprisingly, it even has a piano that visitors can use (with permission). It’s a great, modern space with lots of light and room to work – definitely worth a visit!
