The Left Bank branch is housed in a building donated by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, situated within a few blocks from the Sorbonne, at 173, boulevard Saint-Germain. The branch offers a rich collection of literature at the disposal of professors and students. The branch closed in 1955 ― and is now a Ralph Lauren boutique.
The Library has reduced operating hours from Tuesday 15 July 2025 through Monday 25 August 2025, inclusive.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays: 13h00 to 19h00
Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays: 10h00 to 16h00
Sundays and Mondays: CLOSED
