Few people have made such momentous decisions as Eisenhower, and rarely has one person had to make such a varied range of decisions. From D-Day to school integration in Little Rock, from the Korean War to Cold War crises, from the Red Scare to the Missile Gap controversies, Ike was able to give the United States eight years of peace and prosperity by relying on a core set of principles. Susan Eisenhower‘s latest book, How Ike Led, illustrates not only what Eisenhower did, but why―and what we can learn from him today.
Susan Eisenhower will appear in conversation with Elaine Sciolino, contributing writer and former Paris bureau chief for the New York Times.
