American Library in Paris Cultural Fellowship
The Cultural Fellowship of the American Library in Paris is a program designed to support and showcase the talent of artists across various mediums.
Building upon the long lineage of Franco-American artistic exchange and on success of our Visiting Fellowship and Writer-In-Residence Programs, the Cultural Fellowship offers artists a stipend, private office space, and unlimited access to the American Library’s vast collections of books, newspapers, magazines, and archives. Cultural Fellows have the chance to immerse themselves in the creative atmosphere of Paris and to take inspiration from the city’s dazzling history of artistic production.
Over the course of their residency, Cultural Fellows have the opportunity to engage with audiences in Paris through a variety of public-facing programs. The Cultural Fellowship, established in 2024, is generously supported by the Florence Gould Foundation and the American Center for Art and Culture.
Please note that we do not accept applications for the Cultural Fellowship position. Please see our Visiting Fellowship page to learn whether you might be eligible for this opportunity, for which we do accept proposals.
