Mary Fleming will be reading from her recently published novel The Art of Regret (She Writes Press) and discussing it with literary agent April Eberhardt, followed by a Q & A with the audience.
The Art of Regret traces the Paris life of a ne’er-do-well Franco-American man who, due to childhood traumas, has reduced his existence to a box, a one-room apartment on top of a one-room bicycle shop. Fortunately his attempts at controlled, contrary living fail and he is given a chance at redemption.
Mary was born in Chicago and has lived in Paris since 1981. Before turning full-time to writing, she worked as a journalist and consultant. The Art of Regret is her second novel and she writes a blog, A Paris-Perche Diary.
Event Details: The reading and discussion will take place in the conference room, from 14h00-16h00. It is open to Library members and any non-members wishing to attend may purchase a Day Pass (10 euros). No advance registration is necessary.
