Located in the Pas-de-Calais, this library is remarkable for its architecture (a former Jesuit hotel) and its important heritage collection which has two of the most wanted books in the world: the Gutenberg Bible and Shakespeare First Folio.
The library is also responsible for managing a network of 27 other libraries

Cole Stangler
Cole Stangler is an American journalist specialized in politics and labor. He is working as a French correspondent for various media like France 24 and The Nation. In 2021, he published a book about social history, La solidarité et ses limites : la CFDT et les travailleurs immigrés dans “les années 68” (Arbre bleu editions). He is currently writing a book on the working classes of Paris and the Paris region.
