For all ages!
Children and their grown-ups are invited to join us for an indoor dance party direct to your living room, kitchen, bedroom, or wherever you connect. Caregivers are requested to join in with their little ones and participate in the program.
As the situation with Covid-19 evolves, here at the Library we continue to monitor the news carefully. We’re moving as many programs for children and teens as possible to a virtual format through the end of March. We will run this program by connecting online via Zoom.
While we usually don’t recommend screen use for young children, as per guidance from specialists (see articles
here,
here and
here), video conferencing can be appropriate when mediated by an adult. We will lead you in songs like Go Bananas, I’m a Little Teapot, and more during this dance-along virtual session. Plan to join in, sing along, and move around, as you would do in one of our in-person events. If you join in this virtual session, it will be as important as ever to model movement and song for your children. Adults are welcome.
Children’s and Teens’ Services Manager Celeste will be ready for you by 10h15. You can join at anytime after 10h15 on Friday 20 March via Zoom. The session will begin at 10h30.
