For all ages!
Children and their grown-ups, teens, and adults are invited to join us for an indoor dance party direct to your living room, kitchen, bedroom, or wherever you connect. Caregivers are requested to join in with their little ones and participate in the program.
As the situation with Covid-19 evolves, here at the Library we continue to monitor the news carefully. We’re moving as many programs for children and teens as possible to a virtual format through the end of March. We will run this program by connecting online via Zoom.
While we usually don’t recommend screen use for young children, as per guidance from specialists (see articles
here,
here and
here), video conferencing can be appropriate when mediated by an adult. We will lead you in songs like “Go Bananas,” “Twist and Shout,” and more during this dance-along virtual session. Plan to join in, sing along, and move around, as you would do in one of our in-person events. Adults are welcome.
Children’s and Teens’ Services Manager Celeste, and Children’s and Teens’ Services Librarian Kirsty will be ready for you by 10h15 with guest guitarist and singer Emily Bonn. Find out more about Emily here. You can join at anytime after 10h15 on Friday 27 March via Zoom. The session will begin at 10h30.
