American Library in Paris Book Group
The Art of Writing: Paris Where the Heart Is
Saturdays, 17h00–18h30 (Spaces Open)
The Art of …: Paris presents ‘WHERE THE HEART IS,’ American literature’s most magnificent masterpieces, skilfully set on the silver screen.
The American Library in Paris’ only digitally native book group, The Art of …: Paris, came to small screens at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, accomplishing the Library’s mission of ‘literature, learning, culture and community’ as we sheltered in place.
Five years on, The Art of …: Paris rereads some of its most cherished writers including Ernest Hemingway (Spring 2021), Patricia Highsmith (Spring 2022), James Baldwin (Spring 2023) and Paul Bowles (Fall 2024).
[Spoiler Alert!] This chapter is centered on a plot twist: all of the writings have been adapted to the big screen…!
This group meets on Zoom.
Directed by Precious Brown.
