Join writer Bruce Handy (author of numerous picture books as well as Wild Things: The Joy of Reading Children’s Literature as an Adult) for an event focused on the pleasure of reading and listening to children’s books as a parent and as a child. Bruce Handy will read two of his picture books and speak on how a picture book can intellectually stimulate audiences of all ages, what adult readers can get out of (re)reading kids’ books, and lead a discussion of how illustrations invite the consideration of different perspectives.
