21 February 2011Celebrating Black History Month: Good Reads and Workshops
t’s Black History Month in the US, and we’re celebrating here at the library all month long. Come check out the expo by Jane Weissman – Images of the African Diaspora in New York City Community Murals. We’re also pleased to welcome children and young adults to join us for one of Jane’s two workshops this month. This Friday night, February 18, teens are invited to join us for snacks and good discussion as we use the expo for inspiration while making our own “mudcloth” scarves. There are still a few spaces left, so call the library to sign up!Found in: J CUR (Children’s Library – Juvenile Fiction)
