For all ages!
Children and their grown-ups are invited to join us for an indoor dance party direct to your living room, kitchen, bedroom, or wherever you connect. Caregivers are requested to join in with their little ones and participate in the program. Children of all ages are invited to dance along with us for half an hour of fun.
While we usually don’t recommend screen use for young children (see articles
here,
here and
here), video conferencing can be appropriate when mediated by an adult. We will lead you in songs like “Shake Your Sillies Out,” “Go Bananas,” a few rounds of Freeze Dance, and more during this dance-along virtual session. Plan to join in, sing along, and move around, as you would do in one of our in-person events.
Children’s and Teens’ Services Manager Celeste, Children’s and Teens’ Services Librarian Kirsty will be ready for you by 10h45 with Library Volunteer Mary, and collections Librarian Bojan joining in to host. The session will begin at 11h00.
This virtual Indoor Dance Party is free and open to the public, however advance registration is required. Click HERE to register for the virtual event. Registration closes 24 hours before the event.

If regulations regarding group meetings change, we will accept participants in order of their registration (first come, first serve). We reserve the right to cancel this event or modify the group number in accordance with changes to social distancing requirements.
