You’ll often hear us signing the alphabet song at Story Hour, but did you know we had a whole Story Hour theme on ABCs and 123s? All the books were about counting and the alphabet! We laughed at the interrupting moose in one of our new favorites, Z is for Moose. The ducks in Quack and Count helped us practice counting and learn some addition while we were at it. Back to Front and Upside Down! showed us how it’s OK to ask for help writing your words and letters, and we all laughed at the silly words in Dr. Seuss’s ABC. Finally, In My Garden: A Counting Book let us count all the way from one watering can to 233 peas (some of them wearing glasses!).
Here’s hoping to see you at the next Story Hour for more fun books, songs, and a craft! Upcoming dates are listed on our Events Calendar for Kids.
