For all ages!
Children and their grown-ups are invited to join us for a sing-along with musician Emily Bonn. Caregivers are requested to sit with their little ones and participate in the program. We recommend finding your shakers, and rattles before the program, or creating a makeshift instrument from your kitchen (for example: a plastic Tupperware and a wooden spoon).
As the situation with Covid-19 evolves, here at the Library we continue to monitor the news carefully. We’re moving as many programs for children and teens as possible to a virtual format through the end of March. We will run this program by connecting online via Zoom.
While we usually don’t recommend screen use for young children, as per guidance from specialists (see articles
here,
here and
here), video conferencing can be appropriate when mediated by an adult. We will lead you in songs such as Train is a Coming, If I Had a Rooster, and more during this virtual sing-along session. Plan to join in, sing along, and move around, as you would do in one of our in-person events. If you join in this virtual session with your child, it will be as important as ever to model movement and song for your children. Adults are welcome.
Volunteer host Emily Bonn will be ready for you by 10h15. You can join at anytime after 10h15 on Tuesday 20 March via Zoom. The session will begin at 10h30.
