Cannibalistic witches, iron shoes that burn your feet, wolves in Grandma’s nightgown…Fairy tales might seem like innocent stories for children, but they’re anything but. What do fairy tales tap into that makes them so scary? How do contemporary writers of fantasy and even horror make use of the same techniques? And how can you apply these techniques yourself to make your own creative writing thrill and frighten readers in the deepest and most dazzling ways? Find out in this hands-on workshop led by Noah Weisz. You’ll never see fairy tales the same way again!
Light snacks and drinks will be provided.
