For Library members ages 8-12
We’ll look at examples of contemporary American short stories, and discuss the short stories as a group. Then, we’ll talk about story structures before beginning our own short stories. Participants will also get advance information about the Library’s 2022 Young Authors Fiction Festival.
Participants are encouraged to register for the follow-up workshop on creating characters, which will be held on 9 October.
Advance registration is required for this event. Participation in this event is free for Library members. If you are not yet a Library member, but would like to participate, please join the Library. Parents and other caregivers are expected to familiarize themselves with these guidelines so that we can provide a pleasant library environment for all patrons.
