How does the Children’s Summer Reading Challenge work? You can win books for your summer reading! Register for the Summer Reading Challenge and then stop by the Children’s and Teens’ Services Desk at the Library to pick up your Summer Reading Challenge sheet or download it online. Challenges include tasks such as “Read a book set in a place you’ve never been.” There ten challenges that you can complete. For each challenge that you complete, write down the title and author, as well as three words to describe the book. When you’ve completed a challenge, stop by the Children’s and Teens’ Services Desk to tell us, and pick a prize book to take home and keep! For young children, being read to counts as well!

Ages 12-18
How does the 10 Book Challenge for teens work? Register for the 10 Book Challenge for teens, then pick up your 10 Book Challenge review cards at the Children’s and Teens’ Services Desk or download a copy to print at home. Complete as many challenges as you can between 12 June and 1 September 2021 and turn in your 10 Book Challenge Cards at the Children’s and Teens’ Services Desk by 1 September to receive a prize for each challenge completed. You may read in any language, but each challenge must be completed using a different book.
All challenges must be completed and turned in at the Children’s and Teens’ Services Desk by 1 September 2021 to receive prizes.
This program is free for Library members, and registration is required to participate.
