By December 1920, the Library has 5,000 subscribers. Each member is asked to pay 100 francs initial fee and 100 francs annually. Lifetime membership is available for 2,000 francs. The Library proves to be much in demand, circulating an average of 10,000 books a month. During its first year of operation, 91,722 documents are checked out.
