[Patron Circle] Law in a Changing America with Andrew Weissmann

Wed May 27 @ 19 h 00 - 20 h 00

A former top Justice Department official and bestselling author examines the legal battles shaping American democracy.

In this lecture, bestselling author and MSNOW legal commentator Andrew Weissmann draws on more than two decades at the Department of Justice—including his roles as General Counsel of the FBI and a senior lawyer on the Mueller investigation—to offer a rare insider’s view of law under political pressure. Reflecting on his books Where Law Ends: Inside the Mueller Investigation and The Trump Indictments: The Historic Charging Documents with Commentary, as well as his forthcoming work on political lies, Liar’s Kingdom, he will explore how legal institutions confront disinformation, power, and accountability in a polarized age.

This event is reserved for Library Patron Circle members (formerly: Friends of the Library) and will be followed by a champagne cocktail apéro. If you’d like to join, please email giving@americanlibraryinparis.org.
