For all ages!
Children and their grown-ups are invited to join us for an indoor dance party direct to your living room, kitchen, bedroom, or wherever you connect. Caregivers are requested to join in with their little ones and participate in the program.
While we usually don’t recommend screen use for young children (see articles
here,
here and
here), video conferencing can be appropriate when mediated by an adult. We will lead you in songs like “Shake Your Sillies Out,” “Johnny B Good,” and more during this dance-along virtual session. Plan to join in, sing along, and move around, as you would do in one of our in-person events.
Children’s and Teens’ Services Manager Celeste, Children’s and Teens’ Services Librarian Kirsty will be ready for you by 10h15. Collections Librarian Bojan will join in, along with volunteers Mary Wessels, and guest singer/guitarists Emily Bonn, and Matt Black. Find out more about Emily
here. Find out more about Matt Black
here. The session will begin at 10h30.
This virtual Indoor Dance Party is free and open to the public, however advance registration is required. Click HERE to register.
We thank you for your continued support and for being a part of the Library community! While the Library facilities are currently closed, we are thrilled to be able to bring the Library to you virtually. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions about our events, collections or programs. Our staff is available remotely to help you. If you would like to support the Library, you can donate here to help sustain this vital institution in its 100th year of service.
