Show off your fabulous memory of all things related to teen literature by competing in an evening of challenges to the death (or until we select a winner). The first part of this event will be hosted virtually and will feature trivia, group challenges, a panel of Gamemakers, and prizes.
You will be placed in teams before the event, and you’ll work in groups to answer trivia questions based on teen literature, and you will be given tasks to complete inspired by classic and contemporary teen reads. In the past, participants were asked to shoot an arrow as straight as Katniss, prove a knowledge of the gods that rivals Percy and Magnus, and decide on the perfect spell faster than Hermione.
Participants will be asked to provide a short list of supplies, all readily available in most homes. Prizes will be available for pickup at the Library following the event for all registered participants.
Gamemakers for this event are: author Amy Plum, actor and filmmaker Clarence Tokley, bookstagrammer Pauline, and photographer and filmmaker Peregrine Olander.
May the odds be ever in your favor…
Advance registration is required for Teen Nights (sign-up HERE for the Literary Reaping). REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON THURSDAY 21 MAY 2020. Send an email to Celeste, our Children’s and Teens’ Services Manager, with questions about events and collections for ages 0-18: celeste@americanlibraryinparis.org. Participation in teen events is free for Library members and 10€ for non-members.
