Summer is here, which means that the Library switches to Summer Hours in mid-July. We’ll remain open all summer long, including during the Games.
Summer Hours begin on Monday 15 July 2024 and continue through Monday 26 August 2024, inclusive.
SUMMER HOURS:

Thu–Fri–Sat: 10h–16h

Getting to the Library leading up to the Games:
Thursday 18 July to Thursday 25 July
The Library will be in the Red Zone during the week leading up to the Opening Ceremonies. Motor vehicle access is restricted, but pedestrians and bicyclists are permitted.
Please note that the Library is very close to the grey “SILT” security perimeter (sécurité intérieure et lutte contre le terrorisme). To enter SILT zones, pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers must apply in advance for a digital Games Pass. A Pass is not granted to individuals who only need to cross through a SILT zone. Therefore, it may be impossible for members to reach the Library this week using their usual route.
Opening Ceremonies: Friday 26 July
The Library’s facility will be totally closed for the entire day of the Opening Ceremonies. Staff will be available by email during our regular summer hours.
Getting to the Library during the Games: Saturday 27 July to Sunday 11 August
The Library will be in the Blue Zone throughout the Games, meaning that motor vehicle access will be regulated but pedestrians and bicyclists are permitted. As the Library is in close proximity to several venues, accessing our facility may prove difficult during certain sporting events. Please confirm our opening hours and your itinerary before setting out!
Getting to the Library during the Paralympic Games: Wednesday 28 August to Sunday 8 September
The Library will be in the Blue Zone throughout the Paralympic Games, meaning that motor vehicle access will be regulated but pedestrians and bicyclists are permitted. As the Library is in close proximity to several venues, accessing our facility may prove difficult during certain sporting events. We will be open during our normal hours, 6 days a week, but it’s best to confirm your itinerary before setting out.
