Pandora’s Box: Contemporary Anglophone Literature Unpacked

Sundays, 15h00–16h30 (Waitlist Only)
What happens when we unpack a novel, layer by layer—when we open it like Pandora’s Box? The result can be unexpected, transformative, and deeply revealing. This monthly group delves into the many worlds of English-language fiction from 1950 onward—uncovering the questions, tensions, and insights that powerful storytelling can unleash. We focus on novels of literary substance and craft. All group members will take it in turns to choose one book and moderate our discussion of it during the season. Expect works by acclaimed authors from across the English-speaking world, whose writing deepens our understanding of language, culture, and the human experience. First out of the box: James Baldwin’s Giovanni’s Room, a modern classic set in the very city we meet.
