Graham’s poems confront the defining crises of our time – from ecological collapse and political violence to technological acceleration to late-stage capitalist excesses. Killing Spree asks what poetry can still reveal amid crisis\, and traces the struggle to remain fully human in a damaged world. \nAbout the speaker: \nJorie Graham is the author of sixteen collections of poems. Her poetry has been widely translated and has been the recipient of numerous awards\, among them the Pulitzer Prize\, the Forward Prize (UK)\, the Los Angeles Times Book Award\, the International Nonino Prize\, and the Rebekah Johnson Bobbitt National Prize for Poetry from the Library of Congress. She lives in Massachusetts and is Boylston Chair Emerita at Harvard University.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Important information: The discussion will be available in person only. \nAttendance at this event constitutes permission for your photograph or video to be taken at the event and used by the American Library in Paris for marketing\, promotional\, pedagogical\, or other purposes.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1758032823591{border-left-width: 8px !important;padding-left: 8px !important;border-left-style: solid !important;border-color: #9e0143 !important;}”] \nEvenings with an Author are free and open to the public (with a 10€ suggested donation)\nthanks to the generous support of GRoW @ Annenberg.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Known for bringing joy and accessibility to cooking\, her work spans television\, books\, brand collaborations and digital media\, including series for the BBC\, Food Network and Netflix\, and judging roles on The Great Australian Bake Off and Great British Menu. She is the author of six books translated into fourteen languages\, and first gained global recognition with The Little Paris Kitchen\, inspired by the one-table restaurant she ran from her tiny Paris flat. Born in South London\, she lives in Sweden with her children. Follow Rachel on Substack at Maison Khoo\, and on Instragram at @rachelkhooks. \nLindsey Tramuta has been based in Paris since 2006.
