Teen Writing Group

For ages 12-18.

Join fellow aspiring writers in a relaxed and creative setting where you can share your ideas, get feedback and work on your technique.

This March 23rd meeting will be hosted by Anne Heltzel, a fiction editor and the author of Circle Nine (Candlewick Press, 2011) and The Ruining (Penguin/Razorbill under the pen name ‘Anna Collomore’). For this meeting and once per month this semester, Anne will host the Teen Writing Group and give constructive feedback to all participants and as well as providing tips and prompts for the group.

Experienced writers and amateurs are all welcome to join these meetings which will be held twice monthly on Saturday afternoons.

Writers should come to the meeting prepared to share some of their work with the rest of the Teen Writing Group.

annhAbout Anne Heltzel: Anne Heltzel was born in Warren, Ohio. She earned her BA from the University of Notre Dame in 2006 and her MFA in Creative Writing from the New School in New York City in 2008. She worked in the publishing industry first at a literary agency and later as an editor at Penguin Group (USA) from 2007-2012. Anne currently freelance edits YA fiction for major New York-based publishing houses as well as for published and unpublished writers.
