Join volunteer Caitlin Scheske for a workshop dedicated to transforming picture books into your own original stop-motion films!

Using iMovie and supplies provided, Caitlin will show participants how to create a short movie using stop motion animation. Each child can choose a picture book from the Children’s Library and recreate the story in animation format – and we’ll talk about proper citation of works. Stop motion can be done using cutout paper shapes, drawing, or LEGO pieces. Children who complete a film can submit their work to be screened at our annual Paris Youth Film Showcase on Saturday 8 June.

Children who sign-up for this workshop should be able to commit to attending both workshops: Wednesdays from 16h30-18h30 on 15 and 22 May.

About Caitlin: Caitlin is a IB teacher from Canada living in Paris. She has taught grades 3-9 and is passionate about creativity in the classroom. She is currently completing a Masters in Education. In her free time Caitlin is a competitive runner, and volunteers at the Library regularly.
