Visiting Illustrator: Reading and Art with Lynne Avril (ages 6-12)

September 28 @ 15 h 00 min - 16 h 00 min

ages 6-12

Join us for an afternoon of fun and art at the library with Lynne Avril, Amelia Bedelia illustrator. Lynne will read Amelia Bedelia’s First Library Card and talk about her illustration process. Children and adults can ask questions during a Q&A, then Lynn will do a live Amelia Bedelia drawing with the help of the audience!

Lynne Avril is the illustrator of the young Amelia Bedelia children’s book series by Herman Parish. She has illustrated many other books too, well over a hundred in all. She lives in Phoenix, Arizona, where she also does fine art painting and plays bass in local blues bands. She likes to spend the fall in Paris, where she is very inspired, and actually plays at blues jams there too!

This program does not require advance registration, however, each child attending must have their own Library card, or be covered by a family membership otherwise the non-member fee applies. Unless otherwise stated, all programs are free for library members and 10€ for non-members. Caregivers are expected to familiarize themselves with these guidelines so that we can provide a pleasant library environment for all patrons.
