For ages 6-12

Make a cool pop-up card to send to a friend or family member, or to pop into your neighbor’s mailbox and make their day.

Children and their grown-ups are invited to join us for an interactive crafting event direct to your living room, kitchen, bedroom, or wherever you connect. Children’s and Teens’ Services Manager Celeste and volunteers will guide you in creating your own unique DIY pop-up cards, using the simplest techniques for beginners and more complicated folds and cuts for experienced card-makers. We’ll show you the basics, and you can tailor your project to your heart’s desire. Caregivers are requested to join in with their children and participate in the program.

In preparation for this event, please gather the following items:

  • At least 4 sheets of card stock (papier cartonné) or construction paper A4 or letter size (120g weight is best)
  • Scissors
  • Glue/glue stick
  • Scraps of colored paper or magazine cutouts
  • A ruler

Additional (optional) materials:

  • Precision knife/craft knife (and your grown-up!)
  • Stickers
  • Washi tape
  • Buttons
  • Any other material that can be glued to a card!

This event requires advance registration. Click HERE to register.
