Join artist Cheryl Ann Bolden for a workshop dedicated to the art of African American women from the 19th century on. We’ll take a look at art created by some inspiring women, and then you’ll have a chance to create some pieces of your own. We’ll provide all the supplies needed, and plenty of snacks!
About the host: Cheryl Ann Bolden is an installation artist and curator. Her internationally traveled “Museum Precious Cargo’”is an educational and artistic project dedicated to all aspects the African-American experience. Cheryl Ann is a 6 generation African American based in Paris since 1998, when she began hosting Black History Month programming at the Library. She is a resident artist at “Villa Mai D’ici “in Aubervillier.
Advance registration is required for Teen Nights (sign-up HERE), and each teen attending must bring a signed permission slip (available HERE).
