In the French Kitchen with Mardi Michels (ages 6-10)
March 16 @ 15 h 00 min - 16 h 30 min
Explore cooking with author, teacher, and blogger Mardi Michels!
Come meet Mardi Michels, author of In the French Kitchen with Kids! Mardi will be chatting about ways to involve kids in the kitchen and the process of writing a cookbook, and developing child-friendly recipes. She’ll also be doing a simple breakfast recipe from the book (with an interactive activity and tasty samples).
Mardi Michels is a full-time French teacher to elementary school-aged boys and the author of www.eatlivetravelwrite.com – a blog focusing on culinary adventures near and far. As part of her job, she runs cooking classes for boys aged 7 to 14. Mardi grew up in Australia, lived and taught in Paris for over five years and now calls Toronto home. In 2014, Mardi and her husband purchased an historic home in southwest France, which they operate as a vacation rental property. Mardi also teaches French cooking and baking classes for adults and children around Toronto. Her first book, In the French kitchen with Kids, was published in 2018.
