Evenings with an Author: Susan Loomis
December 4 @ 19 h 30 min - 21 h 00 min
Susan Loomis promises to take you on a voyage from the Gauls to the present, as the French grill their way through history, picking up tips and hints from the Romans and the Vikings on their way. The recipes in French Grill are a blend of traditional French grill specialties, those from friends and neighbors of Susan’s–who you will meet during the talk and in the book–and Susan’s own creations based on living and cooking in France for nearly 30 years. She will speak to us about tradition, flavor, and technique, as well as provide tips to achieve the best results. Finally, she will reveal how you can translate any recipe in the book to your home kitchen, even if the grill is put away for the season.
Susan is an award winning journalist and author with thirteen books to her credit. A classically trained chef, she runs a small cooking school in Normandy and gives cooking classes and market tours in Paris. She has lived in France for almost 30 years.
