Library director Jeffrey Hawkins interviews François Bujon de l’Estang, a former French ambassador to the United States (from 1995 to 2002, during Jacques Chirac’s first term as president), while Séverine Boué, a scholar of the history of French ambassadorships, presents her work.
About the speakers
François Bujon de l’Estang was ambassador to the United States from 1995 to 2002. He was special assistant to President Charles de Gaulle from 1967 to 1969.
Historian Dr. Séverine Boué is a specialist of the United States. She is presently studying Franco-American diplomatic relations.
