Library conference room

The Library features a 14-person conference room and two small study rooms in the lower level reading room which are available for use by Library members. Library members may reserve these rooms for a two-hour period, subject to limitations and availability. Wireless access is available throughout the Library. At all other times when the room is unreserved, it is considered a place for quiet individual study and consultation of the historic periodical archive.

The conference room is not available for rent or for profit-generating activities where participants are required to pay a fee. The room is not intended for external organizational meetings, for use as an office space or as a classroom, for seminars or tutoring space.

How to make a reservation

To be assured of a response, reservation requests must be placed ONE business day in advance and may be made up to ten days in advance. Requests will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis and must occur during normal Library operating hours. Cancellations should be received at least two days prior to the reservation date.

A minimum of 3 people must be identified at the time of the reservation with names and Library membership numbers provided. The size of the group may not exceed the maximum occupancy of 14 for the conference room and up to 4 people in the small study rooms.

Reservations must be approved by a Library staff member. The Library account of the member booking the conference room must be in good standing in order to reserve the room.
