words a birdJoin illustrator Jeanne B. de Sainte Marie for an afternoon of artistic discovery.  Jeanne will talk about her work as an illustrator and then guide you in the creation of your own illustration for a poem from her iPad poetry app "A Word’s A Bird, Spring Flies by in Rhymes,"with poems by Orel Protopopescu. Drawing supplies will be provided!


About the Jeanne:

Jeanne is an author and illustrator. She hails from Michigan where she studied art and textile design. For years she created color and materials for the automotive industry in Detroit and then in Paris, where she settled. Her watercolors are regularly exhibited on both sides of the Atlantic and published in picture books, travel notebooks, children’s calendars and magazines.  To see more of Jeanne’s books and projects visit:

Parents Welcome!

Saturday programs for ages 6+ are drop-in and do not require advance registration. However, each child attending programs must have their own Library card, or be covered by a family membership. Unless otherwise stated, all programs are free for Library members and 10€ per child for non-member children. Active membership cards and possibly other identification will be required for entry.

In an effort to provide a pleasant library environment for all patrons and to help make sure your child's visit to the library is a safe and happy one, please try your best to arrive on time for all programs and review our Unattended Children Policy before arriving.
