Browser: Rules of the road
Welcome to Browser, The American Library in Paris blog.
Here are a few rules of the road for posting comments on our blog:
- Browser welcomes thoughtful comments from Library members and others representing a range of views, and values comments that make their points succinctly and respectfully.
- Browser will not publish: personal attacks, repeated comments from the same contributor, obscenity, vulgarity, profanity (including expletives and letters followed by dashes), commercial promotion, impersonations, incoherence or SHOUTING.
- No contributor to Browser should post material – such as artwork or a photo — to which he or she does not own the rights.
- Contributors are welcome to sign their posts with their initials or their real names, but the Library advises against providing email addresses in posts.
- The editor of this blog is the Library’s director, Charles Trueheart. If you would prefer not to post, but wish to suggest items for the blog, please write
- Any contributor to Browser is granting the American Library in Paris, Inc., full license to use such material on its website and in other official Library publications and mailings, without payment.
